Chulu peak-8584m view of Chulu East peak, peak climbing, Annapurna round trekking and expeditionThe Chulu east permit allows two distinct peaks. Chulu East, and Chulu Far East. Both attainable from the same base camp, and high camps. These are attempted from a high camp at 5,334m (17,500 ft) in the Chegagji Khola valley above the Ongre airstrip. The base is located in the morains above a guarding cliff and waterfall below the col in the ridge separating the east and Far East peaks.
   
Your trekking preparation:  
This trek is considered as a non-technical trek and suitable for average people. If you are moderately fit and have a sense of adventure will enjoy this trek. The program is designed to acclimatize you gradually and not expected high altitude sickness. However you are requested to check your altitude fitness and the itinerary.
We suggest you to strengthen your knee muscles and prepare for several days of steep descents. Some physical fitness programs such as running, swimming, biking or aerobics is recommended, but mostly hiking on steep hills or running up and down steps are preferable.
Please note that the following program is prepared in the fact basis however can be change in some circumstances but adjustments will have to made during the trekking. We request you to be flexible with the situation to enjoy yourself.
As the trek is designed for camping arrangement, everything is handled by our team of porters, sherpas and cooks who carry the equipment, assemble and dissemble the camp and have hot meals waiting for you at every food break.
   
Day to day itinerary:
Day 01 Drive from Kathmandu to Besishahar-823m 
Day 02 Trek to Bahundada-1311m (approx. 7 hr)
Day 03 Trek to Jagat-1314m (approx. 6 hr)
Day 04 Trek to Chame-2713m (approx. 6 hr)
Day 05 Trek to Hongde- 3300m (approx. 4 hr)
Day 06 Acclimatization day (you can do some excursion trip going about 4000m and come down which would be the good acclimatization)
Day 07 Trek to Chulu base camp-3910m
Day 08 Trek to High camp 4955m
Day 09 High Camp 4955m (if well acclimatized, you can attempt the summit. If not, rest at the high camp for the next day)
Day 10 Base Camp-3910m (weather permitting, you'll make the summit ascent this day and return to base camp
Day 11 Trek to Manang
Day 12 Trek to Thorung Phedi-440m (5-6 hr)
Day 13 Trek to Muktinath crossing over the Thorung La-5416m (8-9 hr)
Day 14 Trek to Jomsom-2713m (approx. 6 hr)
Day 15 Trek to Tukchey-2391m (approx. 4 hr)
Day 16 Trek to Ghasa-2013m (approx.6 hr)
Day 17 Trek to Tatopani-1189m (approx 6 hr)
Day 18 Trek to Beni (approx.6 hr) and drive to Pokhara, O/N at hotel 
Day 19 Morning fly to Kathmandu, trip ends...

The cost includes the following services:
  • Kathmandu airport transfers.
